Attorneys to Play at PGA Tour BMW Championship Course at Cog Hill Golf Club

ORLANDO, FL (September 22, 2011) – The Lawyer Charity Challenge, the legal industry’s first national charitable golf tournament, today announces that its Chicago regional tournament will be held on the infamous “Dubsdread” course at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club on Thursday, September 29. The Lawyer Charity Challenge provides the most influential law firm attorneys, corporate counsel and global leaders an opportunity to compete against one another at prestigious golf venues while raising money for charity. This “invitation only” event is a unique opportunity that helps build business, establish relationships and support the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children charity.

Cog Hill Golf & Country Club is nestled in the Des Plaines River Valley. It has been luring avid golfers since 1927. This privately-owned golf complex is located in a lovely rural setting less than 30 miles southwest of Chicago.  It features 72 holes of championship golf, a year-round learning center, and a newly-renovated 35,000 sq. ft. clubhouse. Cog Hill is best known for the world-famous Course #4, “DUBSDREAD,” which is home of the PGA Tour’s BMW Championship. Cog Hill was recently named one of the Top 100 Golf Ranges in America for 2011 by Golf Range Magazine.

“This is going to be an outstanding event and I am thrilled that we are able to offer such an amazing course to our participants,” said Andrea Johnson, head of The Lawyer Charity Challenge. “It will be fun to see if any of our teams can come close to Justin Rose’s round 1 score of 63!”

The Lawyer Charity Challenge presents a unique and valued goodwill opportunity to support a national charity, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Jeff Muddell, vice president of Arnold Palmer Medical Center Foundation, will be present to accept the charitable donation on the hospital’s behalf.
