It is impossible to have a “bad day” at Trump National Golf Club of Briarcliff Manor in Westchester, NY… even if the torrential downpour leaves you soaked to the bone. Winner of the International Five-Star Diamond Award from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences, Trump National Golf Club, Westchester, is an extraordinary destination and luxury golf experience. Its Jim Fazio-designed course offers 18 challenging holes over the rolling countryside, located just 30 minutes from Manhattan.
Our tournament concluded abruptly, with a heavy rain storm hitting the course when teams had between four and five holes left to play. Using USGA rules for scoring under these conditions, Jared Wolovnick and Malcom Anderson took first place with -5 par. Second place went to Thomas Fleming with Kaye Scholer and Craig Marson of Stonegate Wealth Management, who shot -3 par.
With hole sponsors Wave Software, EMC2, iDiscovery Solutions, EnCore Discovery Services, Planet Data and Digital Reef greeting players on the course, the tournament was as entertaining as it was competitive. Hole #8 and #13 featured “closest to the pin” contests, with Glenn Monk of Harrington, Ocko and Monk, LLP, and Mauricio Fernandez with The Crown Companies, winning each, respectively. Hole #18 featured the “longest drive” competition, which Mike Garner from eTERA Consulting confidently took.
The day concluded with dinner, awards and an impromptu live auction of a golf package for two to play in the Kingdom Cup, Arnold Palmer’s exclusive, invite-only tournament in February. We are proud to have raised over $10,000 in donations onsite at the tournament and thank Lexis Nexis, our charity sponsor, for assisting in this effort.
